    Hurricanes 2017 Season is almost here!!!

    Good afternoon,

    We hope everyone enjoyed their spring break over the last few weeks.

    Here are a few reminder as the upcoming season gets under way.....

    Registration/Information Night 

    Thursday, April 27th @ 

    Sports Clubhouse 6:30-8:00pm

    Augusta Swim Supply will be available for swim suit apparel (measuring/ordering)

    We have moved to online registration.  If you have not registered your swimmer/s please click HERE and you will be directed to our new team site (https://hch.swim-team.us/).  If you are logging in for the first time you will need to use your email address that was provided to the swim team and the password:  welcome. You will be prompted to create a new password.  Once complete, log in using the new password and click on the 'Online Registration' box next to the sign-in tab.  You can also order t-shirts, PDQ gift cards and swim caps.  If you experience any issues please reply to: [email protected]  for further assistance or come to the registration night this week.

    The first practice will be Monday, May 15th @ Christenbury Pool starting at 4:30pm.  Please check the website for the practice times for your swimmer/s - it will be posted according to your swimmer's gender and age.

    If you are new to the team or have a junior swimmer that would like to move up to the senior team you must be assessed by the coaches. Assessments will take place as follows:

     

    Nomad - Sunday, April 30  2-3pm

    Nomad - Sunday, May 7 2-3pm.

    Note:  All swimmers must arrive by 2pm.  

     

    Important Dates:

    May 26-29     No practice - Memorial Day weekend

    May 31          Team picture day.  Individual pictures at 4:30, team picture @5:30.  No practice 

    June 21         Swim-A-Thon - swimmers will swim laps during their scheduled practice time

    July 3 & 4      No practice - Independence Day

    Volunteers

    As you know our team is run completely by parent volunteers.  If you have signed up to swim this summer your family is required to volunteer for four (4) sessions throughout the season.  A session is 1/2 of a swim meet.  There are a variety of positions available and a description of each job on the team website.  Please be sure to sign up for all of your sessions as soon as possible.   Please click HERE for a link to the signup genius for all available positions.

     

    If you have not already done so please sign up for the Remind text alerts - it will be our first line of communication when we have changes to swim practices or meets.  If you received text alerts last year, you do NOT need to re-subscribe.
