Can we get a Woo Hoo!!!!

Okay - we know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.....  PLEASE read through the entire email to make sure you have all of this very important information

Here's what's on the agenda for the Hurricanes this week.....

1.  AWESOME job by all of our junior swimmers at their first Speedy Meet today! 

2.  T-shirts, swim caps, PDQ cards, swim suits..... Thanks to everyone who stopped by on Friday to pick up your cool swag.  If you were not able to stop by no worries - we will also be set up on Tuesday, June 6th, 5-7pm.  Please stop by :-)  We will have swim caps and PDQ cards available for purchase if you need them.  Moving forward we will only accept orders for these items (cash or check) in person at swim meets - check out the concession stand for these items.

3.  Monday, June 5th - 11 & up swimmers - Time Trials.  Please arrive at the pool by 5 pm for warm ups.  PLEASE NOTE:   There will be no practice for Senior Team 10 & under on Monday.  Junior team will practice at their regular time - 4:30 pm

4.  Thursday, June 8th is our first HOME Senior swim meet vs. Winchester.  All swimmers should arrive by 4:45 (if you're just getting off the bus no worries - please arrive at the pool for warm ups as soon as you can)  We are looking for a Second Half Clerk or Course for this meet - you are helping make sure the swimmers for each heat are in the correct order as they get ready to line up at the swim blocks for their heat.  Sounds great - I KNOW!  But wait, there's more - this position counts as TWO (2) of your required volunteer sessions for the season.  Who can resist?  Please click HERE to sign up to volunteer for this very important job.

5.  No practice Friday, June 9th.  With school officially out on this date all pools will be open for the neighborhood to swim all day.  

6.  Monday, June 12th.  Morning practices begin (please check the home page - hch.swim-team.us - for practices times for your swimmer).  And yes, there is practice on this morning as well as the Senior Meet in the evening. 

7.  Intra squad meet - Monday, June 12.  Please note this addition to the schedule.  We are looking for volunteers to help collect times and help with concessions.  If you haven't signed up for your REQUIRED 4 volunteer sessions please take a look at what is still needed HERE and sign up today.

8.  Can't make a meet?  Please remember to sign your swimmer out.  You will need to log in to the new site hch.swim-team.us and go to the events section on the home page.  Select the date of the swim meet(s) you will need to miss.  You should see an RSVP box - click on this box and answer No for your swimmer(s) that can not attend this meet.

 

 

As an FYI - I can't stress enough that this neighborhood team is run 100% by parent volunteers.  We all work and/or have other responsibilities and thank you for understanding as we do our best to keep everyone up to date on what is going on.  Please keep in mind the following

• The Remind App is your best avenue to be kept up to date on last minute changes to practices/schedules
• Please don't assume that practices or activities have been canceled - if a note hasn't been sent out (via Remind or email) then the activity is going on as scheduled
• Parent volunteers are what make our team so successful - each family is required to commit to four (4) sessions throughout the season in order to provide a positive, successful experience for all swimmers
