Hi Hurricanes Families!

The first two weeks of the season have gone very smoothly, and it feels like everyone is getting into the swing of things! We are seeing swimmers gain confidence, improve their skills, and get stronger every day. The coaches have been impressed with the effort and enthusiasm everyone has brought to practice.

We are also so proud of all our swimmers who participated in last week's practice meet. It was a great opportunity to learn how a swim meet works, and everyone did an amazing job. The meet this Friday will be very similar, so swimmers should feel much more comfortable and prepared.

Concessions at Friday's Meet

Concessions will be available for purchase and will include:

• PDQ
• Pizza
• Snacks and drinks

Team Caps & Shirts

If you have not yet picked up your team shirt or swim cap, they will be available at the pool this week. Please see Melanie or Amber.

We also have a limited number of extra swim caps available for purchase if your swimmer needs a spare. $10 for Latex, cash preferred

Pre-Team

No Practice Friday

There will be no Pre-Team practice on Friday due to the home meet.

First Pre-Team Speedy Meet

• Saturday, June 2
• Meet Starts: 9:00 AM
• Warm-Ups: 8:30 AM
• Home Meet at Christenbury Pool

Please arrive by 8:15 AM to get settled before warm-ups begin.

Friday, June 5

Please declare your swimmer's attendance by Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Swimmers who are not declared by that time will not be entered into the meet.

Meet Theme: Tropical Luau

We'd love for swimmers, parents, and families to join in the fun and dress for the theme if you can! Think Hawaiian shirts, tropical prints, flowers, sunglasses, and bright colors.

We will have leis for the swimmers!

Arrive by 4:45 PM

Please arrive:

• Wearing your swimsuit (black or last year's green/black suit)
• With event numbers written on your arm using a black Sharpie

Warm-ups will begin promptly at 5:00 PM.

Meet Clean-Up Reminder

Please help us keep our home meets running smoothly by cleaning up your swimmer/family's  area before leaving. Be sure to throw away all trash and take home chairs, towels, water bottles, and other belongings at the end of the meet. Your help makes cleanup much easier for our volunteers and pool staff.
