Dear Swim Parents,

We hope this message finds you well! As we prepare for the 2025 season, we’re reaching out to the families of our Junior Swim Team for help. With several changes to our board this year, we are in need of a Speedy Meet Coordinator (SMC) to help ensure the success of the upcoming season.

The Speedy Meet Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all four Speedy meets run smoothly for the Hurricane Swim Team. The specific duties for the role include:

Primary Duties:

• Ensure sufficient ribbons are available for one home meet.
• Make sure all ribbons are labeled with space to record times.
• Print out and distribute volunteer lists for all four meets and manage Volunteer Check-in.

For Home Meets:

• Ensure the pool deck is set up and ready for the meet (refer to the Speedy Meet Checklist).
• Lead Timer/Volunteer Check-in at the event.
• Ensure the pool deck is cleaned up and returned to normal use after the meet concludes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all Speedy Meet-related matters.

Other Duties (for the ’25 season):

• Set up the PA system for Senior home meets.
• Attend remaining board meetings as required.
• During Senior meets, assist other board members to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Attend at least one information session and be available to answer questions about Speedy Meets.
